Southeast's S.P.A.C.E. community program started in 2008.
The goal is to create outdoor exercising and community areas around the local schools for families and students to go any time of the year.
S.P.A.C.E. (Southeast Pirate Athletic Community Endeavor) is a dedicated nonprofit group that has been working diligently to improve the community and school. The Southeast School does not have any ties to this organization but are recipients of donations. The goal is to provide better facilities that our school and community can utilize for health and wellness which cultivates pride in our Pirate Country. The funds gained from the Sportsman Raffle have provided the school with Concession/ storage stands, protective soccer nets, score boards, football fields, lacrosse nets, initial funds for new sports, sand volleyball courts, outdoor basketball courts and our biggest goal to date…a track that has never been updated. It is still a cinder/pebble track. These Sportsman raffles have provided us with the funds to make amazing improvements that the school system could not. The school grounds are used for little league sports as well as health and wellness because there are no other options for the Community.
Pirate country is an active farming, 4-H, hunting and fishing community with several shooting ranges. Guns are used in recreation and sport as well as providing a source of food to many. S.P.A.C.E has the utmost respect for all life and especially life lost at the hands of those who would use any type of gun as a weapon against humanity.
S.P.A.C.E does not deliver any guns at the raffle. The winners of the drawings are vetted at “The Armory” before they are released. All rules, regulations and background checks are followed. Gun Safety classes will be offered to the public
