What is S.P.A.C.E.?
Southeast Pirates Athletic Community Endeavor is a non-profit 501(c)(3) community-based organization that has been formed to build and improve new and existing athletic facilities at the Southeast School District Campuses for use by our kids and the community.
New, all-weather track at Southeast High School
Thank you to Six2 Excavating LLC, United Earthworks, and Hoover Fence Co. for contributing to making the following happen!
- All previous fencing was taken down.
- Victory Bell was relocated and updated by Alpine Auto Body in Rootstown.
- Pre-existing materials were stockpiled for backfill to be used later.
- Compacted storm sewers.
- Installed a new water liner for a new irrigation system.
- Cleared the sanitary lateral line of pine trees on the north end of the field and installed curtain drain.
- Removed and replaced previous long jump pad asphalt.
- Graded the topsoil around the new track, along with the inside and outside of the new fence, and finish graded all public walkways with limestone.
- Removed all excess dirt from South end of the field.
- Installed catch basin in the corner for cross-over pipe
- Installed a much needed, new water spicket at the baseball field.
- Appx. 30,000 ft. fencing and supplies donated.
- Asphalt laid by Perrin Asphalt-Perrin Concrete.
Previously
- Installed a new field, including, a concession/storage building put in behind the Middle School and purchased a scoreboard for it.
- Purchased scoreboards for the Softball and Baseball fields.
- Purchased a scoreboard in the Intermediate school gym.
- Put in new Volleyball and Basketball courts at the Elementary school.
- Established and provided supplies for Pirates Play Golf
What's ahead?
- A brand-new concession stand at Southeast High School Stadium.
- ADA- compliant indoor restrooms at Southeast High School Stadium!
Our Annual Raffle Fundraiser
The funds gained from the Annual Sportsmans Raffle have provided S.P.A.C.E. the ability to make dreams a reality with a turnout of over 500 people annually, for over 11 years!
